World Bicycle Day is celebrated annually on June 3rd. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly in April 2018 to fete the oneness, life, and versatility of the bike as a simple, affordable, dependable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transportation. The bike has multitudinous benefits for health and the terrain. Regular physical exertion of moderate intensity – similar to walking or cycling – has significant benefits for health. Safe structure for walking and cycling can also give a form of transport for the poorest civic sector while reducing the threat of heart complaints, stroke, certain cancers, diabetes, and indeed death. World Bicycle Day draws attention to these benefits and encourages stakeholders to emphasise and advance the use of the bike as a means of fostering sustainable development, strengthening education, promoting health, precluding complaint, promoting forbearance, collective understanding and respect and easing social addicti
